The 2008 Beijing Olympics will feature the enthusiasm and passion of the public and actively encourage the participation of all in a form of volunteer.
Volunteers will become part of the Olympics program, welcoming and communicating with guests from all over the world. This will help to widen the circle of international communication on the non-governmental level, both in and after the Olympic games.

2. Medium-level interpreters, whose jobs include:
■ Operation of gymnasiums
■ Transport of athletes, officials
■ Security-keeping along the marathon course
■ First-aid activities
■ Clean-up campaigns for city streets
■ City tour guides
3. Welfare volunteers
■Care and assistance for disabled guests, etc
4. Participation in the opening and closing ceremonies, cultural programs, etc.
