A Notice Wanting Volunteers for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

The 2008 Beijing Olympics will feature the enthusiasm and passion of the public and actively encourage the participation of all in a form of volunteer.
  Volunteers will become part of the Olympics program, welcoming and com­municating with guests from all over the world. This will help to widen the circle of international communication on the non-governmental level, both in and after the Olympic games.
  Volunteers include:
  1. Advanced interpreters
  2. Medium-level interpreters, whose jobs include:
  ■ Operation of gymnasiums
  ■ Transport of athletes, officials
  ■ Security-keeping along the marathon course
  ■ First-aid activities
  ■ Clean-up campaigns for city streets
  ■ City tour guides
  3. Welfare volunteers
  ■Care and assistance for disabled guests, etc
  4. Participation in the opening and closing ceremonies, cultural programs, etc.
